Finding the right home health care services for your loved one is a process, and you're likely to have many questions along the way about the services, billing, and cost of in home care. To help you make the best choice for your loved one, we have created a list of frequently asked questions regarding in home care. Check out the list below and let us know if you have any additional questions. We are happy to provide you with any information you need.

What are your rates for in home care?

Our rates for service depend on the level of care required to assist your loved one and the agreed upon services we will deliver to meet their personal plan of care. We provide compassionate care from the heart and are available to discuss the rates for service in your area when you contact us.

When can you start providing home care services?

In most instances, we can start care within 24 hours after you request home health care services. We understand that the need for home care can come up quickly, and we will attempt to respond your loved one's needs immediately.

Will you help me understand what my insurance benefits will cover?

Yes, we will call your insurance company to verify all your policy information and ensure you receive the benefits you are entitled to. Simply call us, answer a few questions, and we will handle the rest!

Will you bill my insurance company directly?

Yes, AccessEdge Home Health Care accepts "Assignment of Insurance Benefits," meaning we will bill insurance companies on your behalf, allowing you and your loved one to have less out-of-pocket expenses.

Will Medicare pay for a caregiver?

In most instances, Medicare will not pay for a caregiver as a stand-alone service and will only pay for a caregiver if the patient is receiving skilled care services as well. If you have any questions regarding what services Medicare will cover when it comes to in home health care, please contact us.

How do I pay for service?

To make it easy for you to pay for service, we accept four different methods of payment:

Private pay via check or all major credit cards
Long term care insurance policies and most major insurance policies
    Medicare
    Medicaid

How is billing processed?

We will send out a weekly invoice to you, your loved one, or your insurance company.

Do I directly pay the caregiver?

AccessEdge Home Health Care handles all caregiver pay. It is never your responsibility to pay the caregiver directly.

Am I signing a contract for services?

When you start services with us, you sign an agreement, not a contract. The agreement states that we will only bill you for the services we provide. We will never bill you or your loved one for services you have not received, and we will never force you to use services.

Can we meet the caregiver before starting services?

Yes, of course! If possible, we encourage you and your loved one to have a Meet and Greet with several caregivers so you can choose the person who best suits your family's needs.

Should I hire my own caregiver directly?

We do not advise hiring a private caregiver who operates outside of an agency because doing so may cause unnecessary financial and personal risks to the patient and the family. Private caregivers may not have the proper experience to provide adequate care. Also, families would have to perform their own background checks on private caregivers to ensure their loved one's safety.

When you choose AccessEdge Home Health Care, you know that our caregivers have been through our AccessEdge system, which means they have a minimum of two years experience, have been extensively interviewed, and have passed a 28-point background check.
